About the Client:

Our client offers a broad portfolio of healthcare information technology products and services that can be delivered individually or combined to create a comprehensive solution along with core administration solutions, care and network management solutions and a wide range of constituent web solutions.

Challenge:

The client’s internal system for sharing and uploading documents did not provide a stable and consistent process of recording data. Our team was brought in to maintain their current system and build on enhancements to better serve the need of their organization and fix any complications and in abnormalities within their internal system.

Solution:

Ajax, C+ and other tools were used for maintaining the current code and developing new codes for enhancing the system. Unit testing and Regression Testing were developed for the code. SharePoint was introduced whereby content publishing, content management and record management provided an integrated location where employees can efficiently collaborate with team members, find organizational resources, search for experts and corporate information, manage content and workflow and leverage business insight to make better informed decisions. The tools and technologies used is this project involved .Net 2.0, Asp.Net 2.0, C#, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Telerik Controls, CVS, AJAX, Quick Test Pro and SharePoint.

About the Client:

Our client’s combination of health care services and offerings enables them to provide end-to-end solutions that impact everything from pharmacy plan design to ultimate delivery of products and services to customers. Their capabilities include industry leading clinical and health management programs, specialty pharmacy expertise, leadership in retail clinics, customer services excellence, and deep knowledge of consumer gained through he more than four million customers who visit their stores everyday.

Challenge:

Our Client was facing a dilemma related to claims of their customers. There was no way of adjudicating third party prescription drug claims at the point of service including trouble free claims management and cost effective review as well as payment and billing support and real-time functionality for updating benefit price, member, provider and drug details.

Solution:

Our team of consultants developed an online transaction processing system that provided eligibility details, loading and validating which included reports of member records, related dependents and group records. It was designed to provide customers with automation efficiency, flexibility and control by facilitating the real time processing of pharmacy claims and payments against eligibility plan benefits, formularies; price, drug utilization review and prior authorization along with may other features. The tools and technologies used for this project were AS40, Win runner, Quality Assurance, Oracle, Java, SQL and MS suite.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Mission is to lead the unified national effort to secure America, prevent and deter terrorist attacks and protect against and respond to threats and hazards to the Nation. Also, to secure our national borders while welcoming lawful immigrants, visitors, and trade.

Challenge:

To provide program management services in direct support of the clients technology investment initiatives and IT Modernization efforts. This included providing strategic, technical, business case development, acquisition advice, and program management control and accountability, while providing services to develop enterprise tools in support of clients law enforcement modernization activities, which included those services needed to accomplish the goals of the Secure Border Initiative (SBI), executive assistance, and administrative support. U.S. Department of Transportation

Manages more that 45,000 miles of highway and freeway lanes, provides inner city rail services and works with local agencies. They carry out their mission of improving mobility with six primary programs – Aeronautics, Highway Transportation, Mass Transportation, Transportation Planning, Administration, and the Equipment Service Center.

Challenge:

The current Electronic Toll collection system that is in place is slow and is the biggest contributor to traffic and congestion in the area. The system did not have advanced technologies such as EZ pass or Credit Card processing.

Solution:

Implemented a new Toll System tailored to the needs and want of the Department of Transportation with a focus on maximizing previous infrastructural investments and minimizing future operational costs which also allowed full visibility and tracking of every toll transaction, customer account and their interrelationship. Introduced Customer Service Center and Business to Business Interfaces that was critical to a successful back-office solution that are architected to integrate with several external resource providers such as Department of Motor Vehicle look-ups and Credit Card Processing Centers. The new Toll system allowed for a smoother more efficient flow of traffic providing safer and improved service to highway customers who live, work and visit the area and surrounding communities. The tools and technologies used were used in the project were .Net, Asp.Net, C#, SQL Server, Ajax, Telerik control and JavaScript.

 

U.S. Department of State

Mission is to protect, promote and enhance our common wealth of natural, cultural and recreational resources. They focus restoring and improving our facilities, expanding public involvement, establishing first rate management systems and practices and improving outdoor recreational opportunities and natural resource conservation. They continue to improve the vital connection between people and the environment.

Challenge:

In today’s information technology oriented world, for all businesses state, federal, public and private, a website is one of the main ways they keep the consumers aware and abreast all issues surrounding them. Websites is key in giving and gaining information necessary to run ones business. Our client had a website but it was limited as to its functionalities. They wanted to be able to create questionnaires and take surveys via their website and it also needed updating of content.

Solution:

Our team of consultants participated in making updates to their website and creating registration and survey web application developed in visual basic .Net and Sql Server as backend. They also added new features and modules to the application and performed maintenance and enhancement. They converted the existing application into ASPX web pages. They were involved in unit testing of the new application and worked with data grid to display tables and forms where necessary. The tools and technologies used in this project were ASP.Net, VB.Net, Visual Studio, ADO.Net, SQL server and Oracle.

 

State Government

Our client, a state government judicial agency, oversees the constitutional detention of persons accused of violation of the law and awaiting trial, in the process of trial, convicted and sentenced to county institutions and those being detained for other agencies.

Challenge:

Our client's existing management system was very limited as to the services it provided. The internal controls for managing inmate records and its accuracy needed to be improved. The available data on the number of early and late inmate release were unreliable. In addition, they were also using an incomplete methodology to identify late releases.

Solution:

Jail Management Software (JMS) was implemented. The JMS Solution includes Jail Management functionality including intake/booking processing, classification, mug shot, sentence management, inmate scheduling, inmate movement and tracking, inmate housing, inmate banking, medical, incident/disciplinary reporting, visitation, inmate programs, property inventory and tracking, charge and bond tracking, and inmate release functions. In addition, the JMS provides standard reports for jail functions and tracking which are built into the core JMS Application Modules.  The tools and technologies used were PowerBuilder, Oracle

TELECOM INDUSTRY

About the Client:

Our client is one of the top 3 wireless providers in the US offering wireless and wire line communication services to customers, business and government users in the United States and internationally. The company's Wireless segment provides an array of wireless mobile voice and data transmission services on networks that utilize CDMA and idem technologies.

Challenge:

The purpose of the project was to complete audits of their internal procedures designed to ensure accurate financial disclosure to maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX). The project involved review and access of CDMA and iDEN cell site leases for payment variances and adherence to GAAP, determine key issues and verify asset value and depreciation as new streams are added to the multi-million dollar portfolio. Perform timely audits with the use of various ERPs and Excel and create daily reports to accomplish 90% target goal.

Solution:

Introduced a customized portfolio configuration containing numerous custom fields to accommodate the different aspects of financial disclosure and maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act. Created a validation and logging technique whereby all data inputs in the system undergoes a process that looks for missing or invalid values and logs them so that any data issues can be easily identified and corrected. Our internal auditors conducted audits of all the existing site leases using various financial ERP systems to ascertain the validity and reliability and accuracy of their financials. All audits were performed adhering to generally accepted accounting principles, rent schedules were built for different leases based on contract terms accounting for verification of asset value, depreciation and amortization. This made a positive impact on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement increasing the accuracy of the financial disclosure.

Challenge:

Our Client wanted to enhance their current services oriented towards business by providing simplified solutions that are designed to accommodate company applications. They wanted to provide leverage for their customers/businesses to expand the services as they grew.

Solution:

IQ Networking was introduced as a new suite of wide area networking services that powers customers' business operations on the application aware network. It offers a converged networking services based on leading technologies that allow customers to build choice networks using legacy ATM and Frame Relay protocols as well as advanced IP centric, multi-protocol label switching based solutions. The tools and technologies used were used were power builder, Java, JS, SQL, SOAP and .Net.

About the Client:

Our client is the leader in delivering broadband and other wire line and wireless communication innovations to mass market, business, government and wholesale customers.

Challenge:

Our client, being a multinational company, had difficulties in inventory management. Their current software for inventory procedures were hard to maneuver and were not worker friendly which resulted in a lot of inconsistencies in there internal system.

Solution:

Developed new features in the inventory module to help our client's field engineers manage inventory such as equipment and channel connections wit the information systems for their fiber optic line. Also developed new features in the implementation module that helps their Management initiate, monitor and troubleshoot equipment for all its products – wireless, Internet and Cable. The technologies used were C++, UNIX, Java, Oracle, SQL, Eclipse, Toad, WinCvs, Struts and JDK.

About the Client:

Our Client has been at the forefront of communication inventions and innovations for nearly 80 years. They have a portfolio of technologies, solutions and services including wireless handsets, wireless accessories, digital entertainment devices, wireless access systems, voice and data communication systems, and enterprise mobility solutions that make mobile experiences possible.

Challenges:

With the emergence of Smart phones in the telecom industry, our client had introduced an all in one phone, but the internet was not very user friendly and required several steps for the downloading of data causing it to have heavy time loss.

Solution:

Our Senior Developers participated in the development and defect fixing stage of the process where they coded a system to display the internet content on the mobile phone with zero clicks so it worked like a ticker on the mobile phone. Tools and technologies such as J2ee, Xml. Jsp Servlets, Struts, Web Logic, Schema and Ddt validations, Sun Java were used. Our client accomplished their goal whereby customers and users had the ease of internet usage in the power of their hands.

TRANSPORTATION / Logistics Industry

About the Client:

Our client is the nations leading transportation and integrated logistics company comprised of two primary operating subsidiaries. Our client operated a fleet of 21 US flag containerships and 5 port terminals linking the continental US with Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Micronesia and Puerto Rico. Our Client offers customized logistics solution to shippers from a suite of transportation and distribution management services.

Challenges:

Our clients operations had different systems for the various functions for their operating processes. In this market they needed to consolidate all their different procedures into one system to ensure very minimal turnaround time and optimize efficiency.

Solution:

Our team resolved production issues that required quick turnaround time by incorporated all the various processes into one system. Our consultants worked on Sql Server, stored Proc timeout issues and used Sql Profiler Trace to identify table, locking issue and fixing them by modifying the stored proc step which was timing out. We also resolved other production issues that were related to session handling and setting using IE http analyzer to monitor the http request being sent to the web application. We also resolved Trouble Tickets related to application functionality which involved connection to database and execution of stored procs. The tools and technologies used were Asp.Net, Sql Server and VB.Net.

Finance / Insurance Industry

Federal Financial Client

Our Client is a government-sponsored enterprise chartered by Congress with a mission to provide liquidity and stability to US housing and mortgage markets. They operate as a secondary mortgage lender working with mortgage companies, savings and loans, commercial banks, credit unions and state and local housing finance agencies. They fund their investments primarily by issuing debt securities in the domestic and international capital markets.

Challenge:

Our Client’s offerings included various services that required proper channeling of pricing. The management of Cash notional changes, project eligibility and loan level price adjustments did not have a concrete work process. Our client also ran into a problem of improper reporting in their accounting books for 2002, 2003 and 2004 that had mostly to do with following proper federal and government policy for documentation requirements.

Solution:

Our team built a new accounting system that improved the efficiency in the accounting close effort resulting in a proper financial disclosure. This new-rule based event-driven engine provided more flexibility and greater user friendliness to the business users. Our consultants created a Pricings rule that would eliminate the problem of following uneven pricing across the company modifying our client’s internal accounting systems such as Leaps, Pss, Mobas and Mctsx. They also participated in restatement of accounts which involved quality audits and reconciliations using hard copies of concrete documentation to bring the statement of accounts up to date with current figures. The tools and technologies used were Autosys, Unix, AbInitio, Remedy, PeopleSoft, DB2, Sybase, Sql, Clear Case and Clear Quest.

About the Client:

Our Client operates the world’s largest retail electronic payments network and is one of the most recognized global financial services brand. Our client delivers value added processing services, including fraud and risk management, dispute resolution, rewards and other business-enhancing applications.

Challenge:

Our client needed to validate their existing data from different sources like FDIC, NIC, Dun and Bradstreet and Hoovers. They need to verify and establish relationship between the merchants and application processors and eliminate the discrepancies from the different types of databases and standardize them.

Solution:

Our team of analysts performed research and validation on our client’s processor data. Our resources were responsible for validating legal name and address for our client’s processors using a number of sources including Dun and Bradstreet, Hoovers and SEC reports. They reviewed and updated data in a number of different systems to ensure consistency. They performed and Endpoint Reconciliation where they established naming conventions for processor control records, application processors and other numeric IDs. Reports were generated using MS Access and SQL using common keys to standardize the data. Development and implementation of procedures were performed to support on-going synchronization of endpoint reporting across databases including setup, modifications, deletions, and annual reconciliation review. The tools and technologies used were MS Excel, Access and SQL.

About the Client:

Our Client is a globally diversified financial services provider with operations in US, Canada and the United Kingdom. They offer a broad array of credit, savings and loan products that include consumer lending and deposit products, including credit cards, auto loans, small business loans, home equity loans, installment loans, and savings products. Our client is a highly ranked Fortune 500 company.

Challenge:

Our client’s collections and recoveries department had various different ways of recording and project data. Due to the difference in their subdivisions, the forecasting of data was erroneous affecting all the different spreadsheets across all subdivisions.

Solution:

Our team of analysts reinvented the forecasting model of the Recoveries department focusing on bankruptcy and estates using Multiple Regression Analysis, Variance Analysis and other complex tools from Excel. The updated to monthly Profits and loss Reports by line of Business sand by function area for Specialty. They also reconciled the revenue data from the Accounting Department and Recoveries Department. They performed financial reporting and were responsible for its execution and direction. The tools and technologies used in this project were Visual Basic, Excel, LookAhead software, CFAR, Micro strategy and Cost Cube.

Challenge:

Our client required a senior Microsoft .net software developer with extensive knowledge of imaging, DICOM, web services and database authoring to participate in a full project development life cycle to plan, design, implement and deploy new software for its OV and Axis web solutions.

Solution:

Our consultant provided services to our client from the initiation phase to the post implementation phase of the OV and Axis web software solutions. OV imaging and angiography software provided powerful tools that are easy and efficient to use. They are DICOM compatible and can be integrated with numerous PACS, EMR and practice management software packages for increased efficiency and flexibility. AXIS web solutions incorporated EDSDicomViewer – a user control designed to use OV and Axis together, to view DICOM, hi res TIFF and all kind of medicinal imaginary online. The tools and technologies used in this project were Visual Studio, C#, Asp.Net, Java Script, Web services, Ajax, Lead tools and Sql Server.

About the Client:

Our Client provides technology products and services for marketing/advertising clients which include various Fortune 500 companies. Our client creates solutions that leverage technology to improve the effectiveness of marketing and communication processes. Some of their products include brand management tools and digital signage networks for digital assets and print media.

Challenge:

Our client uses various brand management tools however; they were in need of a complex tool that could facilitate digital asset review and approval process for multiple distributed clients located in different geographical areas. The new tool needed to collaborate Smart Review Client and Digital Asset Management System for asset review and storage.

Solution:

Our team of consultants designed and developed a new brand management tool as an AJAX style web client using model view controller pattern that communicates with the Web services broker. In addition, application object model, database design and application framework were also designed and developed. They performed project planning tasks and formulated project plans to surface work estimates. Gathering and analyzing software and hardware requirements, writing system specification documents, designing system architecture, interfacing directly with various clients and client services team were some of the tasks performed by our consultants. About our client:

Our Client is a global leader in providing technology services to hotels and travel distributors. Their customers include a majority of the world’s travel agencies and more than 60,000 hotel properties around the globe. Our client’s vast portfolio includes reservation, distribution, financial and representation services. More than a thousand web sites and services have their hotel reservations powered by our client.

Challenge:

Our client was using stand-alone systems including front-desk, reservations, sales and catering and accounting. This resulted in inefficient business processes and prevented them from fully leveraging technology to better serve the guest. They also wanted the system to be flexible where their customers could change their options with ease.

Solution:

Our team of consultants created an enhancement hub to our client’s current central reservation system platforms which are used by more than 7,500 hotels worldwide. The primary function of the hub was to ensure the proper mapping of messages between the property management system and the central reservation system. This hub addressed inventory and availability management and pricing flexibility as well as online bookings. The tools and technologies used in this project were Java, XML, Jaxb, Unix, Linux, CVS, ANT, Eclipse, Informix, DB and Visualiser.
